Fifteen Utahns Set to Compete at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials - Marathon in Florida

The 2024 U.S. Olympic Team Trials - Marathon will be held this Saturday (3-Feb) in Orlando, Florida.

Fifteen members of USATF Utah (10 men and 5 women) are entered in the event that will begin at 8:10 AM MT. The event will be broadcast on Peacock TV beginning at 8 AM MT.  A total of 215 men and 165 women are entered.

In the men's race, Utahns Conner Mantz (2:07:47) of Provo and Clayton Young (2:08:00) of Springville are the top two seeds and are expected to contend for Olympic team spots. The other Utah men entered are Christian Allen (26, Orem, 2:15:01), Habtamu Cheney (24, Provo, 2:16:12), Riley Cook (42, South Weber, 2:17:23), Jacob Heslington (29, Provo, Run Elite Program, 2:17:40), Kevin Lynch (29, Eagle Mountain, 2:12:49), Travis Morrison (31, Salt Lake City, 2:15:55), Sean O'Connor (26, Salt Lake City, Run Elite Program, 2:17:08), and Jared Ward (35, Mapleton, 2:11:44)

In the women's race, Savannah Berry (2:29:13) of Orem is the top seeded Utah entry. The other Utah entries are Sylvia Bedford (33, South Jordan, Run Elite Program, 2:36:34), Billie Hatch (24, Ogden, 2:35:47), Sara Lopez (24, Port Orchard, 2:33:50), and Tori Parkinson, 29, Lehi, 2:32:35).
