Blair Wins Discus Throw at USATF Para Championships in Oregon
Results
USATF Utah was represented in outstanding fashion at the
2025 USATF Para Outdoor Championships
, held at historic Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon, from July 31 - August 2.
David Blair
delivered a championship-winning performance in the F44 Discus Throw, claiming the national title with a mark of 57.57 meters. The F44 classification is designated for athletes with a lower-limb impairment who compete standing without the use of a prosthesis.
Blair is no stranger to success on the international stage. He won the gold medal at the 2016 Rio Paralympics, setting a world record in the discus throw, and most recently captured the bronze medal at the 2024 Paris Paralympics.
Once again, Blair showcased his world-class talent in Eugene, further adding to Utah’s proud tradition of excellence in Para track and field and underscoring the state’s continued impact at the highest levels of competition.
