Blair Wins Discus Throw at USATF Para Championships in Oregon

Results

USATF Utah was represented in outstanding fashion at the 2025 USATF Para Outdoor Championships, held at historic Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon, from July 31 - August 2.

David Blair delivered a championship-winning performance in the F44 Discus Throw, claiming the national title with a mark of 57.57 meters. The F44 classification is designated for athletes with a lower-limb impairment who compete standing without the use of a prosthesis.

Blair is no stranger to success on the international stage. He won the gold medal at the 2016 Rio Paralympics, setting a world record in the discus throw, and most recently captured the bronze medal at the 2024 Paris Paralympics.

Once again, Blair showcased his world-class talent in Eugene, further adding to Utah’s proud tradition of excellence in Para track and field and underscoring the state’s continued impact at the highest levels of competition.
