RULES/SCORING   (How you Score in the Circuit)

 
MEMBERSHIP
A current USATF Utah membership is required to be eligible to score circuit points at each event.

AGE DETERMINATION
For the purpose of the LDR Circuite the age for each participant will be their age on June 30th. The age division that you are in on June 30th is the age group you are in for the circuit.

SCORING
Runners will be awarded points in the overall category, masters age-grading category, and age division categories based on the following points in those categories.

Notes:
  • A runner's best marathon will be scored at 1.50X points. A maximum of one race will be scored at 1.50X.
  • A runner's best two half marathons (or additional marathons) will score at 1.25X. A maximum of two races will be scored at 1.25X.
  • Additional Half Marathon / Marathon races that do not fit into the above criteria will be scored at 1.0X.
  • All races of 10 Miles or under will be scored at 1.0X. 
  • Summary: One race at 1.50X, Two races at 1.25X, All others at 1.0X.
Bonus Points
  • One (1) bonus point will be given for the first six races in which a runner participates.
  • Two (2) bonus points will be given for each subsequent race in which a runner participates.


MINIMUM # OF EVENTS
Runner's best 6 races will be scored.

The minimum number of races that must be completed to be eligible for circuit awards is 6 for all age categories except 18 years and under age categories and 60 and older age categories only require 4 races total to participate in the circuit.

 Age Division Winners (20-24, 25-29.......65-69, 70+):

1st $50

Athletes are allowed to earn prize money for both overall and masters age graded, however they will be pulled out of their respective age divisions and not receive the age division pay-out.
