The 2024 USATF Mountain Running Championships were held on Saturday (13-July) at Snowbird Ski Resort in Snowbird, UT. The event served as the Team USA selection race for the upcoming World Mountain & Trail Running Championships in Chiavenna, Italy on October 12.

The 8.7-mile course included 3610 feet of vertical gain.

Twenty-three (23) athletes from USATF Utah were among the 74 competitors in the USATF championship races. Utahns won both the men's and women's titles; claiming four of the six podium spots.

In the men's race, Christian Allen, 26, of Orem won as he led a 1-2-3 podium sweep by Utah athletes. His winning time was 1:18:18 as he bested Hawk Call, 25 of Orem, and Zachary Erikson, 23 of Provo who finished second and third, respectively. Anthony Williams, 28, of Salt Lake City finished sixth to nab a top-ten finish.

In the women's race, Grayson Murphy, 29, Heber City stopped the clock at 1:36:18, winning by 3 minutes 29 seconds over Rachel Tomajczyk of Arizona.
