Hugo Sets U.S. Masters Record at USATF 50 Mile Championships

USATF Utah celebrated a historic performance at the 2025 USATF 50 Mile Championships on Saturday (Nov. 8) in Vienna, Illinois as Emily Hugo of St. George won the masters 40-44 title and set the American Masters 40-44 record. The championships were held as part of the Tunnel Hill Trail 50 Miler. 

Hugo delivered one of the standout masters performances of the entire event, finishing 3rd overall woman and 1st in the Masters 40–44 division with a blazing time of 5:50:54. Her time established a new U.S. Masters 40–44 record, breaking the previous mark of 5:57:12 set by Allison Mercer at the 2023 Tunnel Hill race.
