USATF Utah athletes competed at the USATF Youth Indoor Championships, held March 20–22 in Staten Island, NY at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex, taking on a national field of 1,887 athletes from across the country.
Highlighting the meet for Utah was a standout performance from Crew Mower (Cool Running), who delivered a dominant showing in the 11–12 Boys division. Mower captured national titles in both the 400m (57.74) and 800m (2:14.87), showcasing his range and strength across middle-distance events. He also added an 18th-place finish in the 200m to round out a busy and successful championship in the Big Apple.
Also representing Utah were siblings Golden and Graham Grunander (Cool Running), who gained valuable national-level experience across multiple events. Golden competed in the 9–10 Girls Shot Put finishing 10th, while Graham took on a full slate in the 11–12 Boys division, racing the 800m (12th), 400m (14th), and 200m (50th).
