Results USATF Utah athletes delivered a strong showing at the 2026 USATF Masters Indoor Championships, held February 19–22 at the Albuquerque Convention Center, combining middle-distance excellence with multi-event versatility and field event consistency.
A total of eight Utah athletes competed in 15 events, producing four national titles and 11 podium finishes.
Jared Murphy (Run Elite Program) swept the distance double in the men's 30-35 division as he won the 1 Mile in 4:42.28 and then captured the 3000m title in 9:34.38. Marsha Baird also claimed two national titles of her own, winning the women's 50-54 Long Jump (4.73m) and the Pentathlon (3781 points). She also added a silver medal in the 60m Hurdles (9.85), making her one of Utah’s most versatile performers of the weekend.
Jeffrey Brown (M50-54) demonstrated impressive range across the field events, earning bronze medals in the High Jump (1.35m), Shot Put (10.49m), and Superweight Throw (5.07m).
Koa Shutt (M25-29) secured bronze medals in both the 1 Mile (5:05.27) and 800m (2:18.19), while Shane Thompson added a bronze medal in the men's 40-44 Pentathlon (2364 points).
